Killer Swine Flu.
Before you rush out to get your swine flu vaccine consider all the facts and look at all the evidence. I'm not trying to convince you either way. Make an informed decision. Just because someone is a doctor doesn't mean they always know what they are talking about. Trust me, I have met some real bozzos with the title of doctor.
So far this year (and the year is almost over) there have been 100 confirmed deaths due to the swine flu. Swine flu just sounds scary doesn't it? Anyway, 100 deaths. Not a good number for sure. Especially for those family members that lost someone. But consider this. In a normal year there are about 36,000 deaths from the regular flu. And we have all had the flu. It sucks! I don't deny that. But for the most part we are all alive. There are complications usually for those that are immunocompromised, but for those of us that are healthy we fight it off and get better.
Now I know what your thinking, that you should run out and get vaccinated for the regular flu. Before you do educate yourself. Consider 2 simple facts. fact #1 - many people that get the flu vaccine actually get the flu - FROM THE VACCINE!. #2 - Someone that gets over 3 vaccines in their lifetime is more than 10 TIMES as likely to get alzheimers as they get older! There are many other scary facts too, but my purpose isn't to scare you. I just want to get you motivated to make your own INFORMED decisions.
Just some info to ponder before we all go crazy and start punching people out in line to get our H1N1 shots.
